Quick connect / trailer mount doggyride
#1
I have Catrike Expedition , i bought a doggy ride trailer, you have to mount the trailer hitch under your rear quick connect? I had my catrike dealer install it, but it seems that after 10 miles it comes loose? it does not pop open but it seems to loosen up? my question is could the thickness of the trailer mount too thick not allowing the skewer rod enough room to reach the other side? Thanks in advance for your help

Hello gsquared,
This sounds like a brand new Catrike if it only has 10miles on it. Can you take it back or call them? As far as your skewer rod can you take a couple pictures of your Bike's rear part?
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!

yes it is new, it has less than 100 miles on it! It does not come loose if the trailer hitch is not mounted under the quick release!! so there is really no reason to take it back, i am sure it is the thickness of the hitch is not allowing the skewer to fully reach the other side! it comes loose after each 10 miles of riding, i tried to upload some photo's last night and it said photo was too big?

Interesting about the photos being too big. When Alex gets on I will ask about that. Try using a photo hosting service like http://www.flickr.com and then paste the code. Do they offer a thinner adapter? I did look at your recumbent so I have a very vague idea about the QR skewer. Let me know on the pics.
