Glueless Tire Repair
#1
Are there any particular tips on handling this? I went out to look for tire repair stuff, expecting to find cement & patches, but found something like regular stickers instead (and for $1.50 I figured it would be worth at least trying). I ended up using 2 of them (the first one didn't hold, I guess because I didn't put it on exact center), but the second one seems to be holding so far after a short ride.

So are these worth the time or should I go back out and look for something that requires cement?
Why is it that they make adult bikes that'll generally work for 5'9" or above, yet when you pedal these same bikes they only work for someone who is 5'4" or so?

I find those convenient but they don't seem to last as well as the regular kind. Especially the cheaper ones tend to not take inflating / deflating the tyre that well, the stretching of the base material (the tube) can work them loose. They are great for a quick fix after you have blown the spare tube, too.

I am in total agreement with Joe because I have a few of "bandaids" lol. They are awesome for a portable road kit type deal but not an everlasting thing! In fact if you do use them I have read every where that when you use them the tube must be in the tire mounted BEFORE you pump air into it. Ok then from there after you get back home or where ever peel it off then re-sand around the area that has the hole in it and use the Patch that comes with cement. If you have not seen the video here is ...

NOTE: Try not to use the metal cheese grater that comes with some of them because those can actually make a tube worse then it is.
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!

Stick to the glue-and-patch as your primary repair...but also keep a few glueless patches on your bike as a backup, because that little tube of glue dries up without notice.
