I can't give you an accurate value because the bike is filthy so I can't see if there is any rust, or what. Having said that, if the crud I see is dirt, then give it a good cleaning and get that crud off, follow up with a good automotive wax. Replace worn and missing parts. If a part is really rusty try to find the EXACT same part on E-Bay and replace it.

That bike is from the 50s or 60s' I don't know much about the brand other than they're rare and was built in France by Cycles Adr. Leducq company. Internet said that Leducq was a famous Tour de France champion (1930s), and after retiring, he licensed his name to a small line of bicycles that while not racing level they were very well made.

Right now, the condition it is in is low, about $100 to $200, BUT, if that is dirt from sitting someplace for years and it washes off to review a nicely preserved bike it could fitch $250 to $700 depending on how well it cleans up. If you start fixing it up it could cost more to do a mild restore than the bike is worth. HOWEVER, it is a rare bike, and it belonged to your grandparents, if it were my bike I would restore it as much as possible, because of the family connection, and keep it. Due to the smaller size, it might not fit you unless you're a smaller person, but it's not a bike that should be ridden a lot anyway, that is a bike you ride on special occasions like if your town has some sort of city wide bike ride once a year. The other issue with selling it is that vintage bikes are moving slowly right now, some of that has to do with newer generations don't want old bicycle technology, and that bike in particular could be very difficult to find parts for it. But if you do replace parts replace only with the exact same part, don't bastardize the bike by putting on modern Shimano or some such crap, and collector wants it to be all original, they won't buy it if it's been bastardized then you spent money for a loss. When you do replace something, like that saddle is virtually unrideable, keep that saddle and mention it in the sale description.

But again, I think you'll be spending more money fixing it then it's worth monetarily, so it needs to become a labor of love for your collection, and if you don't want to do either than just list it for sale as it is but don't expect much.

André Leducq was a legendary French road cyclist who won the Tour de France twice, in 1930 and 1932. It's great to come across history. That's a great branding piece from early TDF days. Was your grandfather in France back then? They probobly were not sold in USA.

André Leducq did not manufacture bicycles himself, but a line of bicycles and lightweight motorized vehicles was produced bearing his name. [1] (https://cybermotorcycle.com/marques/mercier/andre-leducq.htm)Instead of opening his own factory, Leducq followed a common practice of legendary cyclists of his era:The Mercier Partnership: After his racing career and an established pre-war relationship with the Mercier bicycle company, he licensed his name to them. They built a line of high-quality "Cycles André Leducq" racing and sport touring bicycles, as well as light motorcycles and mopeds under his branding during the post-WWII era (1940s to 1960s). [1] (https://forums.bikeride.com/thread-9154.html), [2] (https://cybermotorcycle.com/marques/mercier/andre-leducq.htm)Meca Dural Frames: Notably, some aluminum-framed "Meca Dural" bicycles from the post-war era featured André Leducq badging, which are highly collectible among vintage cycling enthusiasts today. [1] (https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage/1248756-information-needed-meca-dural-andre-leducq.html)While he didn't build the frames with his own hands, he acted as a high-profile brand ambassador and representative for the cycles that carried his name. [1] (https://cybermotorcycle.com/marques/mercier/andre-leducq.htm)Would you like to know more about the vintage Mercier frames that bore his name, or are you curious about the Alcyon bicycles he rode during his Tour de France victories? As I was not online during the time this posted and was not able to comment; I doubt Frank is following so this is not going to help him/her/they/it.

Sorry, but that is a low end sport "racer" from mid '60s to mid '70s; not worth investing in other than to make it safe to ride. Heavy high tensile straight gauge steel. Most likely cheap Simplex or Huret parts (FD is a cheapo push rod unit; Simplex?).

IT IS NOT RARE; IT IS A HIGH VOLUME PRODUCTION FRAME. It maybe "rare" to find one in Australia for example; but can be readily found in the region of its production and distribution. Value in mint condition ~$200-250; as is $25 to $50 without knowing anything except what is shown in a non-drive side photo. Essentially a bike boom bike unless of 60s vintage. Not collectable to those serious about cycling except as an example of a cheap bike of the times.

Typical use of an ex-racer's name to market a bike. Usually the name is just licensed for use by a company and the individual has nothing to do with design, building, marketing, etc. except allowing name use.

Great bike if found for $10.
