I have a Schwinn super le tour 12.2 and i try to knock the bolt loose with a hammer and it won't budge any idea's?
The quieter you become the more you are able to hear

which bolt are you trying to loosen? you must be like me, i think faster than i type, and i leave out things i wanted to say.Smile anyhow, i think you're talking about the stem bolt?

He-he, I'm just trying to visualize what a bicycle would look like that was put together with "the bolt." But I suppose you could always try a penetrate oil like WD-40 to loosen it up. Be careful though, it sounds like the whole bike will fall apart. Smile

Lube the heck out of it with WD 40. Soak, soak, soak. Get more leverage with a longer wrench/ratchet. The good old cheater bar!
