Best Derailluer

Hello,
I have a Cannondale F7 on which the front derailluer is a Shimano Altus and the rear derailluer is SRAM X-4. I am not happy with the front derailluer. In the last week the derailluer has pushed the chain beyond the largest crank twice. Is it a matter of small adjustment? What should I do?

Can someone tell me which is the best rear and front derailluer system?

As to which is the best front and rear deraileur system, that's quite subjective, some people like Shimano, some SRAM and on road bikes there's Campangnolo as well. For a full system including front an rear derailleurs and shifters the top of the range models will likely cost nearly as much as you paid for the whole bicycle. Smile

Thanks! I like the SRAM shifters and derailleurs. I had the Firefox Reloaded before I bought the Cannondale F7. That had all Shimano. I would like to slowly upgrade my derailleurs with if not the best, at least close to the best.

This is the best site on the net and you guys are really good. Thanks again.

Best Dérailleurs ???

Personally I would go for mid-price range.
My opinion, is that above a certain price point you are paying for a little extra lightness and not extra life expectancy.
Front dérailleurs last a long time and rear ones usually last a few years as well.
I would go for LX/SLX equivalent ranges unless you are really into racing.
Ride hard or ride home alone!
