My bike fell over yesterday and when I picked it back up I noticed that my right hood is bent ever so slightly inward. This happened once before when the bike was new and the guy at the shop fixed in a couple seconds. Unfortunately I didn't see what he did so I'm not sure how to fix this. Rather than just tinkering and risking messing something up since I'm not mechanically inclined, I'm wondering if someone could tell me how I can easily fix this. Thanks.
Do you know what kind of brake levers you have?
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!
The two most common methods of attaching the levers both use a bolt that threads into the clamp band. Pull your brake lever and look behind the cable for a large screw head. If you don't see one, peel the hood away from the outer side of the lever and there should be a 'channel' that has an allen-head bolt recessed in it. With either, simply back off a few turns, adjust and re-tighten!
