Numb butt, feet, hands and back shoulder pain

2nd post and I’ve had all of the above. Shoulder pain mostly due to a rotator cuff injury but numbness in hands and feet and butt soreness are common complaints of bike riders and my reason for choosing a trike.

Granted, proper fitting is essential (in both cases) but if you’re at the point of giving up, try a recumbent.

I’ve no experience on two wheeled recumbents, mine is a trike. I can can tell you they are super comfortable but they also have shortcomings.
*They take up room and take planning to transport. I put mine in the back of my truck. Some fold up.
*They are not as fast, unless electrified but are much more stable down hill. I say not as fast but that depends on both riders, I’ve passed many on bikes.
*They are expensive, like a high end bike. Used is the way to go.
*Dealer network is small.
*Youre mostly or can be upright with a full view of your surroundings, no neck pain.
*Ideal for older folks or overweight folks looking to exercise.

Those are the biggest pluses that come to mind. You can still enjoy the outdoors and get the exercise we all need.
Worth a try if you’re getting worn out on bikes.

For the seat, try putting some tilt on your seat so that your weight isn't bearing directly down on the seat against the force of gravity, but is leaning back against the seat with circulation free'd up.

For the hands, this is usually due to your handlebars being too close or too low. For some setups, depending on what you're aiming for, this can't be helped. You can only try getting silicon grips, which can add extra cushion and once again free up circulation. Otherwise, you'll want to look for some combination of a longer stem (and/or) a bike fork stem extender (and/or) wider handlebars. This can also possibly help your shoulder pain.

Numb feet are likely also due to the seat being too high or not tilted enough. It can also be due to your Q Factor. They sell pedal extenders, which will open up your pedal stance and can open up circulation this way for your feet and legs.
