Would an Advanced Society Benefit from Bicycle Transit
#1
Imagine the world begins to impose new traffic laws and schematics that brings what the Netherlands has to the world. A motor vehicle ban on main streets, which are now restricted to bicycles, "manned-pedestrian vehicles", and public transportation. Regarding all aspects of society, doesn't this seem like the best way into the future? It has the potential to reduce crime and theft, by restricting transit capabilities. It boosts biological health markers in individuals by encouraging more cardiovascular activity for transit, which will boost key biomarkers in their health and metabolism; curbing disease, dysfunction, and aging. It cuts back on emissions and mortality due to reckless driving, hijacking, and other motor-related accidents. Individuals could still drive their vehicles along side streets and designated roads which link to highways, so there's still means for imperative transit, beyond public transportation alone; especially in zones which face extreme weather and cold. A seasonal permit for motor vehicles might be necessary in regions like this even. However, this system would still want to encourage public transit within municipalities, via Park and Ride schematics for integral purposes of the program and its preservation intentions. In places like America, I can't imagine this being well-received at first, but it certainly seems like something that needs to be pushed because it's truly what is best for society.

Would anyone else like to see leading nations take initiative like this in moving our world towards a more lawful, orderly, advanced society?

In the down town areas the huge cities, it would seem that e-trikes would be the answer. Everyone can ride them. Bad weather could be a problem tho.
