Hello from Jasleen – getting more into cycling
#1
Hi everyone, I’m Jasleen. I enjoy staying active, travelling and spending time outdoors, and I’m getting more interested in cycling as another way to explore and stay active. I’m especially interested in recreational rides, longer day trips and practical tips around gear, comfort and planning. Looking forward to learning from more experienced riders here and joining the discussions.

Old guy here, but with good advice: you'll wanna watch out for distracted drivers, the new road hazard! Sad

Seems like there are more of 'em nowadays, and they are downright dangerous! Undecided

@Jasleen, welcome.

I second @Sidewinder and @Flowrider. Lots of distracted drivers and riders. I am one such distracted driver too.. especially when it comes to playing/changing music while driving a car..

But, lots of much, experienced riders, mechanics too.

Welcome and beautiful safe.

Thanks everyone! @Sidewinder @Flowrider and @GirishH The distracted-driver point is definitely something I’ll keep in mind. I’m hoping to get into some longer rides and touring as well, so I’m sure I’ll pick up plenty of useful advice around the forum.

I don't believe you'll ever regret increasing your cycling! Especially if you're able to get out and spend time biking in Nature. Love it! Smile

Absolutely, that’s one of the things that appeals to me most combining cycling with being outdoors and exploring new places. I’m still figuring out what type of riding suits me best, but I’m looking forward to learning from everyone here.
