Love the design and sturdiness of the bike. It's well made and rides great on gravel.

Gravel biking is fairly unique and requires a slightly different set of skills than regular road biking which is something that I really enjoy about it.

If I get it (this my only entry), I won't be "persecuted" by the gravel bike riders for riding my road bike (much lighter!) in "their" competitions. Yes, it has happened! I'd end up stripping it down in order to up it into the road bike level of speed I'm used to anyways. Been gravel rIding on road bikes for 40 years now.

These bikes have sleek lines, super colors, and best of all, a seat that actually fits most derrières!

I like how sturdy the bike is, I'm a little uneasy sometimes on bikes but not with this!

I like that it fills the niche between mountain and road. Room for aggressive tires, more comfortable geo.

I've been reading a lot of articles about how a gravel bike is easily adaptable to the road, but, of course, the road bike is not going on gravel. I guess I would have to compare the specifics of geometry and group sets and weight ratios to see if I would be able to keep up with my fast group rides on a gravel bike. Any insight on the major differences?

I have some mileage ambitions and I like a bit of extra climbing ability & sure-footed tire width. Modern road & mountain bikes seem a little too specific for my fickle self. I tried used gravel bike at the swap meet and it just spoke to me.

I'm hoping to find out when I finally get my first gravel bike. Been shopping for one lately but it's been hard to find the bike I want in the size I want locally. Came very, very close but it sold before I could get in there. Shucks!

I love the combination of drop bars with wider tires! Not only can I pedal on the street, I can take it off road with no worries. The gravel bike makes the best touring and bikepacking choice for the same reasons. While I like road bikes, I find the narrow tires problematic when it comes to road debris and random rocks. Luckily, the gravel bike is steadier and less likely to wipe out on rough roads. I bought a new Trek Checkpoint ALS-7 and I am completely satisfied with it’s performance!
