Paint or not to paint the frame

My name is Chris, I am from Teneesse, Nashvile.
I have old bike. Now I have time to do something with it. The first thing I want to do is to repaint the frame. Is it possible? What paint is better? I had an idea to go to the car painting workshop, but I can not afford much now.

It is not a professional paint, and it is not specially for bikes. How do you think, use it or maybe buy more expensive paint? If the second, so what paint brand can you recommend?

Don't paint - study how to paint a bike frame, and then discover it is much cheaper to pay someone else $200- to paint it.
