Hi,

I don't have any knowledge on bicycle and someone suggested me to go visit bike shops.
I put my budget with 500$ but it's flexible. I went to several bike shops and here is my option.

NEW

Trek 2015 7.2 FX WSD [XS] $449.99
This come with many colors and it's okay
http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/city/fitness/fx/7_2_fx_wsd/

VITA STEP ALTUS [XS]  $469.99
Almost feel the same with Trek

Raleigh Detour 4.5 15" %500 (20% off -> $400)
Probably cut this one out since I think it's difficult to lift up

Cannondale 3 Quick 4 XS 26" $650
It's very light but well come with the price

Used

Raleigh GRAND PRIX 49 cm $242
It's light and not so difficult like other road bike

GT Vantara Maroon 17" $200
It's good and reasonable price

What is the best option I should go ?

Assuming they are in decent condition, my first choice would be the Raleigh Grand Prix, second the GT Vantara.

I don't know in a deep detail but at least they will adjust and tune the bike for me.
Only one question about Raleigh Grand Pix is about riding up hill and downhill.
Is it okay or difficult ? I couldn't find good uphill nearby to test
( I live in Seattle, there are many up and down hill)

Oh one more, Raleigh Grand Prix is lighter than Trek 7.2 ?

Thanks

If you live near a Performance Bicycle store, I'd recommend one of the lower priced Fuji Absolutes. They start at $469, and are an excellent value.

...and stop worrying about weight. Anything less than a pound or two is totally insignificant - you have to remember that the weight while moving includes you.

Correction: $369, not $469. http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/Product_10052_10551_1170388_-1___000000
They have other models with better components that are step priced up to about $1000 (the high-end one with with 105 and disc brakes)

Living in Seattle, you also need to budget for fenders and lights.  And for a commuter; rack, panniers or similar.

I don't like any of the options. Do you really need all those gears, even in Seattle? If you're just commuting you want something as simple as possible. A geared hub is a good way to go.

http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/motobecane/bistro-8v-city-bikes.htm?gclid=CNa1s9WD78MCFcRafgodOIkA6Q

Check out this Motobecane. I'm not suggesting you buy through the mail. Buy from a nearby bike shop where you can get help quickly. You'll need it.

You might want a belt drive instead of a chain. They're easier to maintain and won't get grease on your clothes. I wouldn't bother with quick-release hubs, but if you don't want to fix flats be sure you buy kevlar-belted tires that reduce the chance of glass flats.

That's a lots of bikes among all picking one quite tough. However, I think you should go with Cannondale 3 Quick. It's a very light cycle version and you'll feel great riding this one.
