Rear mech hanger
#1
Right, not sure if this should be in here or in the frame section, but i dont think it should matter too much.

Pretty much, chain got caught in my derailler somehow, ripped it apart and proceeded to bend my mech hanger. Its replaceable, but i cant find the replacement.

The bikes a fairly old Pinarello, not exactly sure when its from because its secondhand but might be able to find out if i ring the previous owner.

gone through all the ones in here and its none of them

So first question: anyone know of any other sites where they have lots of mech hangers??

second question: anyone ever had the frame bend as well as the hanger even when its a replaceable one?? looking at it it looks to be as if the whole dropout have been pulled inwards, even more so at the bolt that attaches the hanger.

Sorry i cant post a picture or anything, i dont have a camera, not even on the phone.

thanks in advance
Jobe

Jobe, go here http://wheelsmfg.com/content/section/4/27/ and scroll down.
Put back together what is left of your hanger and try to match it up.

You may even get lucky and have a number stamped into the inside of the hanger. That would be a GREAT clue!

Thank for the link.
Went through every one, somehow theres still nothing the same as mine lol
Looked all over with no number to find Sad

Theres a few that look similar, but none that are exactly the same. Could you make one fit with a bit of handiwork with a file do you think? or would that just make it more likely to break?

I was hoping to have the bike done to ride in a week or so, now it seems as if its going to take that long just to find one of these little buggers Sad

thanks anyway
