How long does it take to wheelie a mountain bike?
#1
I've been trying to wheelie for a couple of days now, doing about 2 hours each day. How long did it take you guys to learn to wheelie? Just wanted something to compare my progress to.

Still can't wheelie. Still can't ride with no hands.

I imagine it would take about a month if I practiced every day.

Kinda inevitable for me since I want to learn bunny hop and bar spin eventually.

How's the progress @Kai B?
I'm not a wheelie expert but a friend of mine managed to learn it within a week. He's good at everything, though, and skilled in mountain biking.

I stopped a couple of days ago since we're on an off-roading trip, but plan to pick it up when I get back. I got the balance point and the pop down, just need to learn how to hold it.

There was a time when people would extend the forks. With the front up high already, it is easier to do a wheelie.

Hey bro im not really a wheelie expert but wheelie is one of the easiest trick you can learn, Start with simple don't go too low on gear always cover your brake atleast 1 finger (rear brake is gonna be your best friend), its not the pull up its the weight transfer you do to pop the front wheel up you pull back after you preload even if you don't have a suspension you gotta preload, always find the balance point its your goal to have longer wheelies, knees have their own part same as your hips you'll be able to explore them on your wheelie progression don't rush things do them one by one, its gonna take a little long but be patient your wheelie will improve every day and weeks also months along your progression
