That's a really rough injury to be coming off of.
As the name suggests, spinning and winning is the name of the game.
That's what I would suggest getting back into it.
From the nature of your injuries, it seems like you're at a deficit of growth factors and connective tissue polypeptides. The two most prominent sources for this will be that your protein consumption is too low—or that it's incomplete. I would strongly recommended adding two protein shakes or protein bars a day, to supplement at least 50g of protein from this source. Additionally, if you have the resources, one of those should be egg protein powder. And the other can be micellar casein or beef albumin (for best results). If you can't afford one or both, it's strongly recommended you eat at least one whole egg every other day, or at least once a week. It's the most complete protein with the most expansive chains, which is why it's the slowest digesting. The body is able to source the most essential poly peptides from egg albumin. I would like to supplement that you add 5g to 10g of collagen protein to each of those shakes. It boosts the amino acid profile tremendously, and makes the protein fulfillment fully complete.
There are some other supplements you can add to increase the threshold of this further (and your overall well-being);
Serotonin Dopamine Liquescence by Professional Formulas
Andro Stim Liquescence by Professional Formulas
Nerve Drainage Liquesence by Professional Formulas
Liposmal NAD+ (dramatically aids in mitochondria sustainment and neuroplasticity regeneration) You can also use NMN instead.
N-Acetyl Cysteine boosts very important metabolic pathways and l-glutathione production (the body's strongest antioxidant)
D3 (even if you think you're getting enough—you're probably not) Very important for neuroplasticity regeneration.
Full Spectrum Omega Fish Oils (most cyclists might already have this in their stack, but just in case) Very important for metabolic stability all over the body.
Catalase (very important anti-aging enzyme that supports athletes tremendously by breaking down excess hydrogen peroxide created as a metabolic biproduct)
You can get a combination of some of these in Stem XCell by Enzymedica. It's a pretty solid proprietary supplement that will also boost superoxide dimutase for you, which is essential for protecting against superoxide free radicals. If I could recommend a specific NAD+ supplement it would be Men's NAD+ by Echeden, because it includes a male virility herbal testosterone boosting stack in it that supplements very well with the Andro Stim Liquesence. The NAD+ also boosts the nerve and brain tissue extracts in the liquescence to accentuate the reach of and depth of neuroplasticity regeneration from the potenized growth factors you receive in those extracts.
The combination of this should not only speed up your recovery, but should have you feeling 10 years younger in just a few months.
