front bearings and race
#1
Is the front wheel race typicaly a pressed fit that allows you to replace it by pushing the old one out and press in a new one?
Thanks for an answer.

If the hub is a thru-axle one, then yes, it's likely so.

On other hubs, typically you will not have sealed bearings (although it's possible—and some exist—especially for track hubs).

Other hubs will be free ball bearing, or sometimes caged ball bearings that sit in the race with the axle cone fitted to them screwed down.

Looking at your other post with the photo I will assume you specifically are looking at replacing the bearing cup. I would assume that it is a press fit cup, but replacement would be dependent upon the manufacturer (or aftermarket) providing replacement parts. See if the cup shows up on a parts list in their catalog. My older hubs are repairable, but although removal is not an issue; reinstallation is. You just can't press a new cup in without ensuring proper seating alignment unless you want to quickly tear up a new part(s). If the bearing races on the cup and/or cone do not show signs of pitting, spalling, or brinelling then you would just need to replace the balls and repack with grease. Replacing a hub bearing cup is generally not worth the effort unless you are dealing with rare original equipment parts that are not available for a very high value bike. Newer mass produced bikes and parts are not worth the effort or cost in most cases. Just replace the hub and relace the wheel if cups are damaged.
