Any thoughts on what brand this frame is?
It was powder coated prior to it being in the family so identifying it has been tough. I'd love to restore it to whatever it originally was or at the very least find it a correct badge.
Serial # is located on the underside of the crank and it's M4B08901. From my research it implies it was made in Miki Japan in 1984. Only other identifying marks are that it says "Shimano SF" on the rear dropouts. I'm unsure if any of the parts are original but they are mostly dated '84 to '85. Looks to be a touring bike based on the forks and two bottle holder locations. Has cantilever brakes. Also confirmed to not be a Sekai by the family of the founder.
I appreciate anyone taking a look and I appreciate any ideas or thoughts.
