Damage done by quick-release skewer on fork dropout?
#1
Hey guys I was recommended to post here to see if I could get any additional opinions. Would be great if you guys could help me out.

I bought a second-hand carbon bike that looked mostly fine on inspection but when I took it apart to put in the car I noticed that the carbon around the dropouts might've been cracked? This is my first time seeing these 'enclosed cam' style skewers and would thing that this wouldn't happen with the alternative 'exposed cam' style skewer. I guess my question now is whether the damage to the fork is that severe and how I could prevent this from getting worse/happening in future.

Additionally, as seen in the last photo, there are minor paint scratches on the frame that don't appear to have done anything to the carbon underneath. What kind of epoxy or paint should I put overtop as I've heard that the UV could damage the resin holding the fibres together and that clear nail polish is only a short-term solution.

Thanks

Eh. Looks like there was too much torque. I suggest taking it to a professional first.
