Tips for installing cross levers
#1
Any tips/suggestions for installing cross-type (supplemental) brake levers on typical road bike drop bars?

Which levers do you want to install?

I have a set of Paul Component Engineering cross levers on order (see http://www.paulcomp.com/crosslever.html). It looks rather simple -- cut the housing, insert the lever, etc. I'm just curious if there are any hidden "gotcha's" waiting for me.

Thanks for the pic. Those look pretty straight forward... I'd just be double-sure you have the levers in a comfortable position before you install the bar tape. Maybe try riding around without the tape for a while first so you can make minor adjustments.

Thanks Alex, I'll let you know how it goes.
Speaking of bar tape... I've watched your handlebar wrapping video (several times) -- lots of good info there. Does the technique change at all for leather-style (i.e. Brooks) tape?

Brooks tape? Nice! As far as I know it should be the same procedure.
