Sram cassette an chain

Is it possible to use a sram cassette with a sram chain on a shimano 105 chain ring?

as long as they are listed as Shimano compatible and of the correct speed, should work fine. What shifters do you have?

Shimano 105 group, I am going to go all sram but I have to get a little at a time.
