Wife's 1997 Barracuda A2ZS build
#1
Yea, The wife wanted to steal my Barracuda, the bike was a pinch large for her but with a couple mods it will work out ok, shorter higher stem, smaller tires, o offset post will do the trick.
So to help her keep up with me a bit she gets the component upgrade right out of the box, she deserves it. She instantly fell in love with the color scheme and I always liked the Barracuda look. you can spot one a mile away. She comes in @ just under 27lbs and has a better ride than most alloy bikes I have ridden. It was an STX equipped 21 speed with gripshift and will become an DeoreLX with the rapidfire 24 speed. this is what it looks like so far, not quite finished yet.

Hi Painkiller I have a Barracuda jump frame but dont really know much about the brand as they're not high up on the list when you think about jump bikes. However I have found it to be very high performance commuting machine with the short seat and tube stays combined with the way I set up the seatpost , stem and cranks. I paid 99pence for the frame and you can see it in my photos; blue with fat wheels and tyres. AI this from the same company as your bike in the photo, or is this a different Barracuda UK company?

I will have to dig thru and have a look again, but I do not think they are the company. I think about 1998 was the last year for the desirable Barracuda's made in the USA. 1995 and earlier even more so.
