First SS Conversion
#1
Got a cheap GMC Denali and decided to turn it into my first SS bike to use as a commuter. Changed pretty much everything on this bike including, cranks, chainrings, cogs, seat, front and back wheel, brakes, handlebar tape. Started out as a low end 21 speed geared bike and is now a reliable safe commuter for everyday use.

That's a great idea Bill. I will definitely look into those tires. Thank you. Also, what is your opinion on powder coated spoke rims? I can't decide if I should leave them be or make them black or red? Thoughts anyone?

Here they are! I am not sure what size you need but these are the ones I have for my Schwinn Traveler http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0037N7TBK

Edit: Oh man sorry they are like totally red! Sad I don't know what I was thinking!

lol thats fine. I found some on ebay that are black and have red stripes along each side. All red ones might be a little much for the eyes to handle.

Yes, Bill. It is the thought that counts. Red tires... hmmm.. okay!

I missed this thread somehow, ART. Looking Good! Those red crank-arms are a perfect accent to the tape and saddle. Red sidewalls or stripes on black tires would look High Speed!.
'Edit: Oh man sorry they are like totally red!'
Bill meant "Totally Rad", though. Same thing...

And Red skewers. YES!

Can we see a drivetrain pic? Please??
