Help identifying vintage frame
#1
Hello, everyone!!

I´m from México and I found a vintage frame that I want to identify. The purpose is to restore it if I can find the right components.

The frame only has a serial number (P1447)

The head tube doesn't have a label

I found a few of components that came with the bike

The crankset has a couple of labels SUGINO and MIGHTY COMPETITION. One ring has 42t and the other has 52t.

I hope these pics can help to identify the frame.

More than likely a Japanese frame given the components. Brakes were from the 70s to mid 80s; cranks were from the early 70s (I have them as stock equipment on a 72/73 Motobecane Grand Record) not sure when they stopped using them. Probably mid to late 70s frame. Date codes on original components can usually identify the year of manufacture (+/- 1 yr). What threads does the bottom bracket have? What is the bottom bracket shell width (probably 68mm)? What is the seat post diameter? The biggest factor in determining the bike make is the serial number format. You might try looking at some of the well know Japanese brands of the 70s (e.g. Nishiki, Fuji, etc) and see if you can find a similar serial number format.
