Location: NE Ohio for now
I used to ride every day for work, up and down the great hills of San Francisco. My legs got huge! Then moved to San Diego, finally bought a car, and stopped riding much. Then sold my bike and moved back to Ohio. A few years later I miss riding, but need to get a bike! Can't afford it now, but in 2021 that's the plan.

Check your local/regional Craigslist postings; there is usually something in above average quality and condition at a low price; you can always get rid of it when you can afford what you really want in the end. I have bought medium to top end race bikes for $100-$150 dollars ready to ride that could easily cost 2 to 3 times the sale price. Beware bad tires, they can be the greatest expense on the purchase of a used bike if needing replacement.
