Hi there,
I have a question in regards to either finding a replacement hub for my rear Mountain Bike or just replacing the whole wheel entirely. However when I went to a local bicycle shop (in China, that is so there are language barriers to keep in mind), upon inspection they claimed that the bicycle was too old to accept the replacement of their modern parts, which I honestly find hard to believe; or if it is true surely there shoud be an "old" part out part out there somewhere that could fit into the bike that I have.
So my question is, since I not familiar with all the different types of hubs compatible with different bikes (with the road or mountain bike kinds), is what they are saying true? I wouldn't call myself a bike expert, desipte myself fix or adjusting bicycle parts over the years, but it just sounds pretty bogus to me. I mean, it's news to me consideriHi there,

I mean, it's news to me considering it couldn't have been that old. It would be a shame to throw it away since it otherwise could've still have many years of life in it.
Here are the details of my bike
Brand: MELONE (Road Series: XQ500)
Wheel Size (Front & Back): 26 x 2.125 (57 - 559)
Rear Wheel: 250-450 kPa (35-65 psi / 2.6-4.5 bar)
Front Wheel: 200-560 kPa (30-80 psi / 2.0-5.6 bar)
And these are the photographs I've taken.
I don't even think the manufacturers even exist anymore plus I sure they're a Chinese exclusive, but Please let me know what you think.
Thank young it couldn't have been that old. It would be a shame to throw it away since it otherwise could've still have many years of life in it.

I would've attached the pictures I've taken of the bike and it's rear hub, but they don't appear to be going through for some reason?
