Help finding out my vintage Biachi model

Hi guys,

New here. I bought a vintage Bianchi road bike like 4 years ago. I have barely used it as I now live in the US.

The bike had been completely refurbished and looked like new. Unfortunately the owner passed away and his mother was selling it.

There is a number on the head tube which is 701848.

Can anyone help me with what Bianchi this is?

how about some more clear pictures of the complete bicycle. i.e. brakes, crankset, and derailluers, wheels and hubs, plus any other decals. would all help pinpoint age at least.

Welcome to the site. Please provide more imagery to assist us in dating or ID'ing you bike.
Measure the width of the bottom bracket shell. Italian made will be 70mm; Japan/Taiwan made will be 68mm. Are there numbers/letters stamped anywhere else on the frame (e.g. rear drop-outs, bottom bracket shell, etc.)?
