Front Derailleur NOT Staying In Gear
#21
Thanks for the suggestions, Joe and Archey. I've checked out both and come up empty. The bike is garaged indoors and ridden only on pavement; I did spray some cleaner/degreaser to no effect. I also loosened the barrel adjuster all the way (dropping the chain to the small chainring)... the shifter has full travel, but simply doesn't ratchet as it should. Any other thoughts? (Fortunately, I am finding that my commute can be done reasonably well all in the large chainring, so this isn't life and death... Smile )

If it's only 8 months old, it's probably still under warranty. Take it back to the shop where you got it, and make them replace it for free.
How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?
