I'm based in a place called Waltham Cross, EN8 8BE. I've got the painter locked in my shed, kind of like Josef Fritzel. He's too valuable to let loose. That man has ideas of some amazing colour schemes coming out of his ears.

Yes, TFA (totally friggin' awesome). So, UK... hm. Definitely more than a weekend's ride distance...
I do not really have a frame to paint at the moment, but I'll keep you in mind. I really like the look of the paint job!

Now I need to find a road frame that is affordable, fits me and is in need of a paint job (for a cyclocross / light tourer)... and all this without getting into trouble for buying the n+1-th bike.

I am amazed, how did he do this, by hand? Its a wonderful process and looks like there was alot of work put into it!

I've been experimenting with semi-fat bikes - here's my 1st effort, I didnt want to go with full fat tyres and rims because I wanted to be able to use the bike as part of my commuting fleet.

I've just started mine after a few days of indecision. Too late now - bike is stripped and the Nitromors has started doing it's job. It's a bit slower than 5 minutes for me !!! Now have all the grades of wet / dry paper you instructed and am raring to go. I'll post up some pics as it unfolds.
It's also an opportunity to change the headset and BB as I'd been planning anyway so I can kill a few birds with one stone here.
This has really motivated me - thank you
Love your bikes btw and if mine turns out like that......:-)

Many thanks for your comments. Why dont you start a thread with the original bike, frame and a midway so that we can see the end result.

Well, like I said the bike is now stripped of parts and I've only half the paint left on the frame so if any of you want to see that I need to take a pic before I do anything else, work out how to post a new thread and then start. Sorry if i've moved in on yours - not my intention and certainly no offense meant. I'll start a new one. ( i'll work that out later ! )

I only signed up today to the forum spurred by your posts.
I was going to have the bike sand or grit ( or something ) blasted and painted.....then I stumbled on your work.
Thanks again

Since this thread was started, I now have to wear prescription eyeglasses. My eye doc is a cycling friend and teasingly accused me of looking at too much porn on the computer. I said "Yes. Bike Porn, doc!"
He said "Where?" I don't think I will tell him... Blind optomitrist usually go out of business quickly.

Thanks Bill but guess where I got my motivation form to do up my bikes. I dont post anywhere else because I've seen too many people having their bikes rubbished by others and too much bike snobbery but on this site all bikes are welcomed and criticism comes with helpful advise and suggestions.
Everyone has to start somewhere but it is the end result that matters.
