I have a 14-28T 7 speed freewheel that I recently installed on my cruiser but the 28T cog could do with being a 30T. The bike came with a 14-34T but that huge cog was too big. I figured a 14-30T freewheel would be perfect but nobody makes one. I can get it in 6 speed but not 7 speed. I can get a 12-32T in a cassette but that won't work without changing the hub. So I had this brilliant idea: Grind four of the teeth off the 14-34. I can't wait to put it on the bike and try it out. I'm a genius!
If I knew how to ride a bike properly, I'd do it every time.

I meant what I said about wanting a 14-30T or even a 12-30T freewheel, though. I actually pondered the 6-speed but it would be an experiment, and wasted if it didn't work out well. I've spent a small fortune on freewheels in the past. I had a collection of them.
