Replace disc brake pads [Solved]
#1
First time doing this, I have to be 100% confident. Are there any risks and potential failures that have to be considered before switching the disc brake pads? I just bought the same pads I have had before, Shimano B01S resin. Will switchem th tomorrow hopefully. Nothing much can go wrong, right?

first of all, you have to make sure that pads are actually worn out and need replacement. sometimes the squeeky noise is caused by other factors, such as rotor. overall it's an easy process, don't play with the brake lever while you are doing the swap - just in and out.

There is an adjuster hex screw on one side of the caliper (mine is closest to the spokes. If your new pads are tight and binding, just undo the adjuster screw. (Mine clicks.) This is used as the pads wear. The main adjustment is done from the brake lever end. It's actually quite easy.
If I knew how to ride a bike properly, I'd do it every time.
