Rear Derailleur H adjustment
#1
I just purchased a new Dura-Ace rear derailleur and upon installation I noticed that I need to move the H adjustment screw almost all the way out in order to get on the smallest cog. When ever I screw it farther into the derailleur it moves inward farther away from the small cog. Is there something I am missing here? This is a 10speed with double front chain ring. The bike frame is new and the hanger does not appear to be bent.

You don't say what kind of derailleur you switched from. There is probably something about your frame or rear cog set up a little different than would normally be on a bike with DuraAce. But ultimately, that is why the limit screw has that much adjustment in it, so it can deal with slightly different geometries.
If the limit screws are doing their job and shifting is working well, it doesn't sound like a problem.
