Missing headset bearings
#1
Hi, I just bought a used 2006 Trek 7.2FX. When the seller packed the bike, he lost the upper bearings and the ring (race?) that sits against it from the Slimstack Aheadset.
I see that replacement bearings can be purchased, but I am at a loss to be sure that I get the right parts. None of the pictured parts look exactly the same as the parts I have. Can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks<br />
Kitty

There are so very many types and sizes of headset bearing races. For this I would recommend contacting the manufacturer (possibly through their website) or take it down to your local bike shop so they can figure out which size will work best and can be ordered.
