Cateye Miro Wireless computer

I have the miro wireless computer it says it want work good in cold weather like be low 32. So what can you do when you want to ride and its cold its 17 deg? Here now and today it only got to about 39 so I did not get to ride. Is there any computer that will work in cold weather? Not that I ride a lot in cold weather but I would like to be able to go riding when I feel like it no matter what the weather is. And no I want ride if I can't keep up with my miles on my bicycle thats a no no to me.

I don't know of any computers that work well in cold weather. The LCD displays are known to become sluggish, and the chemicals in batteries don't do well in cold temperatures either. Hopefully in future new technologies will help with this problem.

Just an idea, would a pedometer be the same as measuring the miles?
