Front m975 Whell - Thru Axle Fork
#1
What are my options?

I have a front XTR m975 wheel and a thru axle fork that I would like to use on my bike.

Is there a thru axle conversion kit for the m975 wheel?
Or
Can I change the hub on the m975 wheel to a thru axle hub? If so, does it matter if I use a non-proprietary hub on the wheel?

I appreciate your help.

Cheers,
Mike

After looking at a couple picture online of the m975 wheel, I am guessing your wheel has the quick release skewer? You asking if you can use a quick release on a fork that once had an axle in the dropouts? If you could upload a picture of your forks it would help alot. I can say that most forks are universal. The only thing to be concerned about is the spacing from one side of the fork to the other. Here is a link explaining what I am saying.... http://sheldonbrown.com/frame-spacing.html
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!

The wheel has a quick release with a skewer. The fork has a Thru Axle.
