Older style chain tool
#1
I found this chain tool in my dads garage. I know it has to be at least 15 years old. And used not even a handful of times. I was wondering if anybody has ever seen one like this and if it they still use them today. Also if it will work on today's derailleur chains. or should i just drop the $17 on a new one?

This was the standard tool for most DIY and is still available in some shops. I still have mine in the tool box.<br />
Will still work on most chains but may have problems with 10 speed chains.

Various companies still make a variation of this.
