Where can I find anti rotational washer for Sturmey Archer 8sp hub that will fit vertical dropdown ,as Sturmey Archer does not make these. Mounted hub to a Terra Trike Tour. Made a set (not pretty but working so far,)

I'd say your best bet is eBay, then I'd start hitting all the bike shops. In Gainesville there are two shops that specialize in used bikes and have bins full of spare parts. If there is something similar in your area, that'd be the place to go.

It is highly unlikely that you will find anything ready made, because horizontal dropouts are needed to adjust the chain tension with these and similar non-derailleur equipped hubs. SRAM might have something for their combo IGH/Cassette hub.

Question - how do adjust the chain tension?

Sorry for not replying sooner;
As for the washers I have ended up making a set out of 1" angle iron (drill,files and a hacksaw and a lot of patience) Have almost a 1000 miles on it so far no problems. As for chain tension Sturmey Archer has tensioner or Utah Trikes. With the Terra Trike Tour having a rear floating idlers I added a shim and lined right up. Now in the process of adding a Patterson Drive with a power Idler setup.

I rebuilt a 1955 AW, and I can't get 1st to work. I have a bunch of NOS clutch springs of two gauges, and when I use the finer gauge springs 1st doesn't engage -- it just freewheels, but when I use the heavier gauge, stronger, spring, I can't get the lever past second. I have tried several of each type of spring, and this is very consistent. Second and third gears work fine. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jeff
