Clunky Front Shifting - SRAM Force
#1
Hi Everyone,

I'm having trouble fixing a problem with a brand new SRAM Force drivetrain. All seems properly installed and aligned, and everything works/shifts well, except the front shifter just doesn't feel or sound right.

When I shift from the big ring to the small ring it takes a lot more force than I would expect to get the shifter to go, and when it does, the it's a much louder and rougher sound than the rear der.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this? When I release the cable from the der. itself and shift, the action of the shifter seems normal.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Andrew

im assuming the cable is new also? perhaps it has too sharp of a bend and is binding somewhere, causing the added resistance. sounds like the derailer itself is ok.
Get on your bad pedalscooter and ride!
