Clicking in front gears in higher gears (6th, 7th)
#1
I have a Specialized Crossroads hybrid which I enjoy a lot. Recently, I am getting clicking from the front gear wheels when I am in gears 6 & 7. Any suggestions as to how to make this stop?

Thanks.

Most generally you are hearing the chain rub on the Front Derailler, because the chain is off-sided. Put it in easy to understand terms 5-6-7 are meant for the middle and largest chain rings. Explained better by Alex here... http://bikeride.com/gear-shifting/ . If you have to use 6-7 in the smallest then just move the Front Derailler Shifter a little bit as you were going to shift in the next chain ring in the front the noise will stop. Try it and if this is not the case please come back and we'll help ya out.

Good luck,
Bill
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!
