New Saddle Recommendations

Hi.
I need a new saddle for my bike, I'm planning to ride around europe for 2 weeks. travelling approx. 1000km. currently on a long cycle I end up with chaffage. Need a recommendation for a saddle that will be comfy for the long rides. BUT I don't want to spend over £30. As cheap as possible is best. I'm strapped for cash.

The saddle has to fit. Go to a bike shop, tell them about the tour and ask them about saddles and test them. In my opinion that is the only way to buy a good fitting saddle. Tell them that you are on a budget but be open to suggestions. You need to wear the clothes you plan to ride in for that, otherwise you won't be able to really judge what will work. When I got my road bike, I test rode three or four different saddles (the first one just didn't fit and I rode the others for ~45' each to get a good impression). That said: I rode the Rhine valley two weeks ago, almost 7hrs in the saddle and I chafed a bit, no sore bum, but some chafing. Next time I'll use chamois or something along that line.
