How to tune internal gears?

Hallo,

I have a bike with internal gears:
5 speed Sachs Torpedo Pentasport.

It has two adjustment cables from both sides of the rare wheel.
I just can't get it out, how to use them to tune the gears.

Does anyone have the same or similar gear hub and can share the knowledge?

Interesting, I've never seen one of these. It appears most online information is in German only. If you can't speak German or work with a google translation you might try emailing Sachs/SRAM (http://www.sram.com) directly to see if they have any materials on this.

Falls das Zugseil zu lose oder zu stramm ist (siehe rechts Zugseil),
dann das linke Zugseil nochmal einstellen
1. Select fourth gear, turn crank 2-3 times to complete gear change.
2. move bushing on both cables until both chains are just taut, chains must not be pulled out!

control of right cable
- select 2nd gear and turn crank twice
- if you have difficulty to select 2nd gear, cable is too tight. If you can pull the chain a bit further out of the gear it is too lose.

left cable
- select first gear, see description right cable
