Where to find: brake pad mounting nuts?
#1
Where can a man buy replacement nuts for adjusting/mounting brake pads?

I think the specifications are 10 mm x 6 mm x 1 mm (width x interior x thread).
I know widths vary but my bike happens to have 10 mm.

Can anyone confirm this if I were to be lucky at a hardware store?

The local bike shop has been of little help. Thank you.

Easy answer, yes. If your Local Bicycle Shop doesn't carry extras then take in your brake pad and have the employee get you one.

Very strange that the Local Bike Shop didn't help ya out though. I can say that most newer brake from post 90's have been 10mm (wrench size).
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!

I agree with Bill it is very strange the shop doesn't have pads. Most good shops will have some kind of recycling bin with a bunch of old pads from replacement jobs. Maybe try a different shop?
