Never need to replace cassette if chain is replaced regularly?
#1
I hear a lot that with the Park Tool chain wear indicator tool if the tool fits in the chain at the 0.75 mark, replace the chain; if it fits in the 1.00 mark replace chain and cassette. Does this mean that if I am diligent about replacing my chain at the 0.75 mark then I never have to replace my cassette?

When is should I be replacing my cassette if I never let my chain "stretch" beyond the 0.75 mark on the Park Tool chain wear indicator tool?

Thanks.

I see. If I see gaps in the sprockets when a new chain is placed on it, then it is time to change the cassette. For some reason, I didn't catch that in the tutorial when I first watched it a while back. Thanks, Bill.
