Using ChatGPT for training
#1
Hey,
has anyone used chatGPT or any other AI tools for training purposes?

Wondering if people actually use it to plan training. For example, for putting together a marathon plan, ultramarathons, triathlons, for planning cycling workouts or regular road rides, adjusting training week to week, etc. If you’ve tried it, how did it work for you?

There always some room for AI applications for training, comparing metrics, training progress, etc., but some things should just be left and taken on the road - feeling, ambition, motivation, enjoyment.

Hello @Zviedrs, I’ve used ChatGPT/Gemini to plan my current bikepacking trip in Ladakh, India. I came here without a bicycle or any bikepacking equipment, such as handlebar, frame, or saddle bags, so I was trying to figure out what hacks and tricks others use.

I got very useful links and information that I’ll be putting to use over the next week, month or two.

The best part is that the more you use these AI tools, the better they get at understanding you, your personality, preferences and provide responses tailored to you.

My advice is: go ahead and try them. They might not be perfect the first time, but they’ll keep improving as they learn more about you.

@Zviedrs, please look at the link where ChatGPT gave me some hacks/ideas.

Even though I did not tell it that I am in Ladakh, it knew and gave me some Ladakh-specific ideas.
