Hi everyone. New member here. I am an 86 year old trike rider. I have both a regular tadpole trike, a Trident Trekker, and a TerraTrike Tour II that has a Bfang motor. Weather permitting I ride anywhere from 20 to 35 miles every other day. Being from Nebr, I am in the snowbelt, and cant ride for at least 4 months of the year. I mainly ride on the 130 miles of hard surface trails here in Lincoln. I am a member of the local bike club, and a bent club in Omaha. I am also a charter member of the Great Plains Trails Network, that funds and promotes trails here in town, and all over the state.

Welcome to the forum, I just joined myself, seems like a nice friendly place 😀

I'm in my early 60s and hope I can keep riding into my 80s!

Welcome to Bikeride.com Rydabent! we hope you enjoy reading this forum and we look forward to the wealth of wisdom and knowledge that you will be sharing with us. Must be awesome to still ride at 86yro! Hopefully when I get to your age, I can be as strong as you are!

Welcome aboard, @rydabent. Your trikes actually sound pretty cool. I've tried most types of bikes, but that's one area of cycling of which I have zero experience.

Welcome to the forum, @rydabent and @JeffAP! I also hope to keep riding for as long as I live.

My brief and only visit to Nebraska was before starting RAGBRAI in 2018. My friend and I chose to ride to the NE-IA border but, unfortunately, didn't get to see or ride more in Nebraska. I wasn't aware of the biking trails there. Thanks for mentioning them! I'll look into them next time.
