you talked me into it, must say I love it. I cut the handlebars and flipped em and it makes the bike fit me better also.

Awesome, Nice looking bike, great shape too. Do you know what year??

Ye there were some awesome vintage Japanese bikes made in Japan especially around 1980. Later made in Taiwan, usually by Giant, eventually after transition they got good too.

Panasonic, which made Schwinn Super Le Tour, Miyata, Fuji, Bridgestone and some others. Their high end bikes ran with the pricey Eyetalian bikes. The very rare Schwinn Paramount racers weight around 21 lbs, like today high end bikes. Although I doubt the expensive bikes of today will hold their value like the Paramount. Drooling here. :-)

There is a nice 12.2 le tour on LA Craigs list, sure a nice bike but I got four bikes in the garage can only ride one at a time. :-)

The 1985 Fuji del Rey I got is a very nice rider. Just took a ride on the beach bike path with it , NICE..

I looked at all the miyata brochures and could not pinpoint the color in that model so I would say it is still an 89'. your fuji frame looks alot like my Univega arrowpace that i think is around an 81' and i love the ride on it also I flat barred it and i beat the crap out of it on the city streets thats for sure and it needs a good rebuild but on hold for now because i picked the Miyata for $80 bucks and threw some change at it instead for now. just today I put a black seat and a longer black seatpost on it and I think it looks better and fits even better too.from the 50cm. drop bar it was to the bullhorned it is now and longer seatpost it fits me pretty good for being 5' 10" and normally riding a 56cm road bike

Wow you got that bike for $80, man what a great deal. Its a beaut. The Fuji del Rey I got is not as cosmetically nice but has a awesome quad butted Valulite frame and the bike weights only 24.2 lbs, thats 2.4 lbs less than the Super Le Tour. The Schwinn High Plains I got new in 91.

I would have to say my Univega comes in at around 25lbs and is made with Tange tubing. I just might bullhorn that bike when I rebuild it. My next project will be my Gary fisher Gemini Tandem. When I start that I will post pics along the way
