Front rim punctures inner-tube at the valve stem.

I did not know where else to put this.

Would any of you know how to correct this?
My thought: cannibalize a bad inner-tube and create a rubber boot to cover the valve stem on the good inner tube.

Seems to afford extra protection and allow for air pressure without popping a hole in it.

File the inside of the valve hole in the rim if it's aluminum one and be sure that the rim tape is covering everything except for the valve hole... don't know what to do if you have a carbon rim...

No carbon rims; rim tape sits without blocking the valve hole.
Thank you for the tip.

If you have any of this you could also put a little around the edges...

Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!

Extra protection? Not a bad idea.

After inspecting the rim, I found the culprit on the convex portion of the valve stem insert hole. I checked the valve stem itself and the shape of the "cut" matches the culprit convex area. Filing is probably the best and only solution needed. The rear tire has not (thank god!) had this problem.

Easy as 1-2-3.... Use a round file, like this one:

I would not put liquid electrical tape on the air chamber valve, cause solvent in it may damage rubber of the tube, making it crack and let you go on a flat...

Round valve stem hole with a good tube should go for thousands of km free of flats!

Thanks for the tool spec's and image! It should be at any hardware or well-stocked hobby store.

You really think it would have that kind of reaction to the rubber of the tube, even after it has dried?
