Wheel sizing

I ride mostly bike paths but was wondering if going to a smaller width tire from a 2 inch will make much of a difference in rolling resistance and pedaling effort. Trails are 90 percent hard packed.

Width is part of rolling resistance, and tread is a bigger difference.

I posted this on another thread:

Don't yell at me anyone , but I just got these ones for my work bike which is a Murray Street/Off-Road mix.... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002DWZD2I and man they are rather great. Road and LIGHT offroad lol Wink
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!

Bill, those look good too. Smile

I figured what I had, plus two more examples were more than sufficient to express the idea; so I picked the first Conti and first Kenda I found on Amazon that had pics that matched what I want to say.
