Freewheel adjustment

It seems nobody takes apart freewheels. If it has free play side to side, I think, it is possible to readjust bearings.
There are shims inside to adjust bearings load. If races(cones) are worn out, you can just remove one or two shims. I found 5 shims in my freewheel, they have different thickness, so I'll choose which one to remove.

Yes, this used to done, and also changing the toothed plates to give different ratios without removing the body from the wheel.
But labour costs are so high now and freewheel prices are low that it is not cost effective if done by a LBS.

Round nut has left thread and it is easy to remove, using hammer and a punch or screwdriver
