Just did this one for my mate. Its a Radford MTB frame. I'd nto heard about that make until he brought it to me.
the Radord in its original form before and now completed
The Giant Box has been sitting around in my shed so I decided to give it a makeover. Almost completed only crank and rear derailleur to go on.
See this is why I like restoring bicycles! It really is not all for the money I am looking for , it is the end result and pride. The above shows just that ! Great job!
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!
I just picked up this Giant Box One but this one has rear suspension, so its; like a big brother to the hard tail.
Bought these for 99p on Ebay. When I received them, my wife said they look like junk. I'm sure I saved them from the junk yard.
Now THIS is a Way-Cool thread!
Wheelies don't pop themselves. (from a QBP fortune cookie)
MG frame finally polished. Also polished the Mavic wheels.
This thread is awesome! Are you going to do the Box One rear suspension frame? I want to see that one done!
MG progress.
Merry Christmas to all. May Santa bring us lots of bikes and happy riding in the New Year.
MG frame fully built up. Have only ridden it in the back yard but not taken out on the road yet. It weighed in at 7.9kgs with carbon seatpost, handlebar and stem but I have since replaced them with aluminum parts.
I feel exceptionally proud of the old skool / retro Araya rims with XT hubs because they are so rare.
To think those company's go to a lot of trouble to design the logo's and paint. Then the expense of painting and attaching those decals...That really does look awesome. Do you think you would have bought a bike on the showroom floor with no paint and no decals? Just chrome? I wonder..
My next project. Something is very different about this one and I want to see which keen-eyed member will be the first to spot it.
Chrome on steel ?
