Looking for Recommendations: E-Trike for My Grandma
#1
Hi everyone,

I’m looking to buy an e-trike for my grandma as a Christmas gift, and I’d love to get some recommendations. She’s 71 years old, and the road conditions in her city aren’t great—lots of potholes and uneven surfaces, plus she frequently needs to climb hills.

My budget is under $3,000. I recently test-rode the Electric XP Trike, which felt very stable on flat roads, but it didn’t seem to handle uneven ground conditions as well as I’d hoped. Does anyone have suggestions for an e-trike that might perform better in this type of environment? Or is this the original defect of the tricycle, which cannot flexibly respond to ground conditions.

I’d really appreciate your insights and any recommendations! Thank you in advance!

@Aprilll , I think @rydabent might have lots to add here. Truly, great that you are thinking of gifting a new set of "wheels" to your grandmother.

Hopefully, Rydabent will provide more details here.
